Visual Rituals: Poster Series

  1. Role: Designer of a three-poster series created for a semester-long project on cultural storytelling, exploring the Japanese tea ceremony.

  2. Design Challenge: Expressing the ceremony's spirit of mindfulness and balance across three separate designs, while keeping the series unified and showing harmony and the passage of time.

  3. Design Process: Built the series around yin and yang koi fish and trees from each season, using those motifs to symbolize harmony and time, and unified the three posters with the phrase "One moment, one sip, one tradition."

  4. Outcome: A cohesive three-poster series that tells the story of the Japanese tea ceremony through mindfulness, balance, and the changing seasons.
